December 27, 2013

We had a large gathering of friends and visitors.
I sure hope I don't forget to mention someone... if I do, shoot me an email, no bullets.
Those who were flying were:
Tommy Meyer
Phil Witt
Ernie Werbiski
Mike Duran
"Sheriff John"
Cecil Langham
Bob Wilder
Jim Kitz
Norm Jones
Steve Westerfield

Not flying:
Mary Werbiski
Bob Borger
Boyd Burris
Dianne Jones
listed last for distinction:
Fran Hatzenbuhler, who made a delicious lunch of sandwiches and deviled eggs,
complete with soda and muffins for dessert

And a couple of other folks stopped by and watched...
Bob Metzler and his boy (sorry, didn't get your name)
and even some others... we had quite the crowd...
and of course, taking the photos, yours truly, LJ was there.

Remote Control Model Flying
Some non-RC flyers came by early to wish us a good day

Ernie wanted to start the day with his Toot but ran into technical difficulties and had to scrub it
'Twas a shame not to see such a work of art in the air

The Sheriff's F9F Panther
This is the jet famed for its service during Korea
"Bridges at Toko-Ri"

Ernie flies a quad as a change of pace
There were a few of these types around...
Steve Westerfield had this 'sexti' and Bob Wilder flew the Micro

We had an intruder that came quite a bit closer than this one did... most of the time landings at DFW were coming around more to the north.

And Tommy's personal Little Toot foam model making on approach for its landing
