July 13-14, 2012

Big crowds showed up each day. Many attended on both days:

Mike Duran
Phil Witt
Cecil Langham
Mark Lowe
Brent Groff
Dean Hughes
Ernie Werbiski and his better half, Mary
Alan Muetzenberg
Mark Hawkins
Russ Keith
Mike Cressey
Jim Kitz
and me, LJ, to shoot the place up.
On Saturday, we also bid welcome to a family of new comers. Hank Cook came out with his two sons, Parker and Mike. We are glad to share our time and talent with them.
Also, on Saturday, Phil Witt provided a Little Toot Airshow with a couple of passes over our field. Thanks for Tooting us, Phil.

A classic crescent moon hung over the field each morning as we began to gather. On Friday, Ernie had a special presentation to make Friday AM. He built a beautiful F-22 jet for Tommy.
Was Tommy every thrilled! He was running around the place hand "flying" the jet with the theme from Top Gun, Highway to the Danger Zone, blaring in the background.

The newest family to the Hatz-Meyer Field family.
The Cooks, Daddy Hank, Mike, in the middle and on the right, Parker.
Parker at the controls under Tommy's tutorage (or is that "Tooterage".) Then Parker solos, quite successfully.
How calm was it? This little flyer couldn't weigh more than a few ounces. By weight, it wouldn't cost a dollar to mail it! Mike Duran had it just floating in the morning sunrise.
