Walter Johansen and his loving wife, Ashley, have a passion for flying which started at a very young age. Neither has much aviation in their immediate family but caught “the bug” from being in proximity to aviation growing up. Ashley lived near Dallas Love Field and Walter grew up near Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. They met at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona while beginning their aviation careers.
Ashley is a Commercial Multi-Engine, Instrument Pilot. She has flown Pilatus PC-12 and King Air 200s professionally as well as Piper PA-44, Cessna 400 (Corvallis TT), 182, 172, Cirrus SR-22, Commander 114TC and Super Decathlon. Presently Ashley works as a full time Part 135 charter scheduler and dispatcher/part time King Air pilot in Fort Worth. She enjoys flying aerobatics and is working towards her tail-wheel endorsement.
Walter is a corporate pilot based at Dallas Love Field. He is a ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI rated pilot. He has professionally flown Dassault Falcon 50EX, CJ3, Citation Mustang, King Air 350, 300, 200, F-90, Cessna 421, 400 (Corvallis TT), 206, 205, 182, 172, 162, 152, Cirrus SR-22, Beechcraft Bonanza & Duchess, Piper Seminole & Cherokee, Diamond DA-40, Commander 114TC, Grumman Tiger, Super Decathlon and soon Little Toot. Walter has a background in Part 135 and 91 flying, new/used piston aircraft sales and flight instruction.
Together, Ashley and Walter formed Johansen Aviation Services, LLC. based in Addison, TX, to provide aircraft management, flight training and pilot services on a part time basis.
