Today's excitement started with a little bagpipe music. It was also time for Tommy's Toot to get some routine maintenance by changing the spark plugs. So the question LJ has to ask is "How many pilots does it take to change a spark plug?"

Today was not a very good day for former military jets. First a F-16, formerly USAF, landed too far down the runway and could not stop before running off the end of the runway. I had turned away from watching the F-16 when someone shouted "It's not stopping." I quickly turned and just clicked the shutter and luckily caught the picture just as it's nose hit the grass and started the plume of dirt shown in the photo.

Then later in the day a former USN jet, a FJ2-Fury, also landed too fast and went off the runway.  skidded off to the right of the F-16 which was still stuck where it was. You see the tail of each plane.

We also had a visit by Ben Ellison who is a designer of the Gweduck (gooey duck), an amphibious plane and the designer of the  Ellison Throttle Body  Fuel-injection Servo and has a long association with the Little Toot.
